I am trying to install a wireless printer onto my iMac, but when I try to add the printer in system preferences, I cannot do so becuase there is no shortcut/button to do so- I have Cds DVD, mouse, keyboard etc. options, but none for printer! please help!

I've got iMac, running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4 (11E53)
I have tried a number of printers and installed a number of drivers for them from their official websites, but nothing seems to work!!

If the Print and Scan preference pane doesn't appear at all, hold down the Option key and click the Show All button in System Preferences, then select Customize. Look to see if the Print and Scan preference is shown there without a checkmark. If so, check the box and click "Done".
