why am i not receiving group or CC'd emails that I was previously receiving?

I was receiving & sending emails from 2 people who have been on a string of emails back & forth. All of a sudden, I am not receiving any emails from this same email string. I don't know why. It has been very frusterating. They keep on resending but I still don't recieve it. I am still recieving emails, but not from them. Is it a CC or group mail issue I'm having? Please help. Thank you.

I don't know how familiar you are with mail, nor what sort of mail you're using here, so the following is casting a fairly wide net...

See the Apple Mail Troubleshooting Support Article.

Use the Connection Doctor (Mail.app > Window > Connection Doctor) to test your connection to your mail server.

Are other messages from other sources arriving? If you don't know, try one of those. Try having the other folks send to a different address, too.

Check your spam folder(s) and check your client spam settings?

Checked your mail server spam settings? (Some ISPs make these settings available via a web interface, and a mail server you're running locally can have all sorts of anti-spam settings.)

All of you are on the same mail server, or are multiple mail servers involved? There are other details and other configuration issues that can arise with connections between multiple mail servers, such as proper DNS settings.

Are you directly running OS X Server or some other mail server where you have access to the logs? If so, check the mail server logs for the messages, and see what's happened.

If you are not running the mail server, then check with your mail ISP, as they have visibility into those logs. (Though if you're using one of the many free mail servers, then you'll probably get the service that you've paid for... Try a different free provider, or consider contracting for mail hosting with a provider that can provide support, or potentially — this is a big jump, if you're not already doing this — hosting your own mail server.)

In general and FWIW — and not related to this particular case of loss of messages... If this more than some "random" messages circulating among friends, and this involves a business or open-source project or other such activity, and if you're finding yourself and folks you work with going back-n-forth in mail discussing or debating or designing or whatever, consider looking for a conferencing or discussion tool, too. Mail is stellar at burying information, content, and threads, and how various decisions are reached.
