No YouTube video from iOS device with composite cable

I'm trying to play a YouTube video on a TV with my iPad3 or my iPhone 4s connected to my TV using the Apple composoite cable. All apps and operating systes are up-to-date. Unfortunely, I only get the audio, but no video. This only happens with the YouTube app playing YouTube videos. I get both audio and video when playing any other video, i.e., Vimeo, from anyother app.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
