ntldr missing error

All,

I am using Boot Camp to install Windows 7 Pro and all goes well until I reboot. At that point I get a "NTLDR is missing...press any key to reboot".

The trouble is, no keys work (usb keyboard) and manually restarting takes me to the same screen. I can boot into OSX if I hold OPTION, but unable to complete the windows installation. Any clues on how to fix this? I have tried 3 times with no luck 😟

re:Shotgun00

My apologies for the delay in my response. I am using an genuine Win7 PRO CD. I used the same CD to install Windows via Parallels earlier without issue.

I finally got it working! The issue was the damnedest thing....Boot camp asks if you want to create a Windows Support software disk (USB Flash) in the beginning. Now maybe I missed a step, but after the partitioning of the drive and reboot, the USB drive MUST be removed prior to Windows starting. Ironically, the software on the USB has a boot file and I guess that confuses Windows...hence the error!

After many Google searches, I finally found an article that references that ALL external disks and drives need to be physically disconnected or you get either a NTLDR or BOOTMGR error.

All is running and well in the world :)
