Previous iTunes purchases not showing in the cloud, cant find them anywhere!

My previous purchases from at least 1+ years back have started to no longer show up in my iTunes purchased section or the cloud, I cant seem to find them anywhere nor on my iTunes app for my iPhone. Very confused to where they've gone because iTunes store keeps telling me the items have been purchased before!
