How much time does it take for Apple, to unlock my iPhone 4s?

Hi!
I was at my Carrier( Vodafone) and requested an unlocke for my iPhone 4s on 2013.04.09.After 2days i went back and checked it at their system and everything went fine and they closed the case at their end and sad to my its on Apple now.
How much time does it take for Apple to do the request? Its 04.16. now and a phone is still locked..
I tried some of the IMEI status checkers but non of them gave me correct information about the phont("Not Available" or "Unknown")
If anybody knows a good idea please tell me.
(I'm trying the unlock sync via iTunes, but it allways gives me the "not supported sim card" message).
Thank you guys!!

1. This is not Apple but Users just like you on a Forum hosted by Apple.

2. Apple has no role in the unlocking of iPhones except to keep a data base of locked and unlocked iPhones. It is the Carrier only who unlocks.

3. Did you get confirmation e-mail/message from Vodafone that your iPhone has been unlocked. If yes, them Backup, insert non-Vodafone sim in and Restore in iTunes. Will see "Congratulations your iPhone 4S has been unlocked" message.

Thereafter you are good to go on any SIM.

if no, escalate with Vodafone.

As I know the Carrier sends the request to Apple, who checks the database and modifies the status of the Sim Lock, so basically its on Apple to make the final change.

Yes, i did get the confirmation email from my Carrier, and also spoke with them after that and they said theres nothing left to do, just wait for Apple to make the changes.

I also did the restore a couple times on the phone, and connected it to iTunes with different sim cards(so the sim isnt a problem).

Basically now the question is that how long does it takes normally for Apple to make the requested changes?
Does any of you have experience about this kind of situation??

If you got the confirmation message from the carrier that the unlock has been completed, follow the instructions in that email and restore the device.

There is nothing to wait on Apple for.

Let me be blunt, the carriers are full of manure and will use any excuse to blame others and try to avoid unlocking your device.

If you have not received confirmation from the carrier that the device has been unlocked, call them and find out what their timeframe is one completing the process.

I was at the Carrier today and asked them to check the status of the unlocking and they said, then in their system its completed and i have to try to complete th unlock via iTunes... i'm trying it with 3 different sim cards but non of them giving me the congratulations message, but the "This iPhone is not currently setup to work with carrier you're attempting to use..." .. i restored the phone a couple times as i said it before, tried it with another pc(because maybe my macbook is the problem) but non of the variations working.
Thats why im confused, cause i think im doing everything right,so thats why i thought that the Carrier or Apple not making something as they should,or just it takes that much time...
im confused and also curious about who's doing something wrong..(again, maybe its me.. but i think im doing all the things thats on the apple site, how to unlock via iTunes..)

Yes! Im restoring the 6.1.3 iOS to the device, not with backup, just simple update & restore ... then after installing it boots, then the activation screen appears with searching... or no service and then iTunes pops the message out the the simcard in the device is not supported, i should request an unlock from my carrier(what i already did 7days before).

It implies that the carrier (Vodafone) has not unlocked the iPhone.

Posters have got their iPhones unlocked within an hour. I got mine unlocked in 4 days of putting in the application.

The confirmation mail for the unlock is released by the Carrier only after all formalities have been completed and unlock approved.

As already said escalate with the carrier. http://www.vodafone.hu/magyar

Good Luck
