Why Bluetooth of apple devices doesn't work for transferring data or files with other devices and even with apple to apple devices? Why can't the video or files be directly downloaded in device like iPhone, iPad etc?

I agree it is a little frustrating.

You could always connect to your computer to transfer via the cable, or email the picture to yourself, or even have a Dropbox Account that you can save the file to on your iPhone that syncs with your computer...and them theres the iCloud so you have everything everywhere...spoilt for choice really, just not using Bluetooth!

I couldn't care less what other people are buying or not buying because of being able to transfer data via bluetooth. Android is swiss cheese for secuirty and being able to transfer data via bluetooth doesn't help their cause in this area.

You can transfer data via Bluetooth between iOS devices or between iOS devices and a computer (Mac or PC) if you have the proper Apps to do so.

I expected this to be a standard feature on any modern mobile device. if had known this feature was not on the iphone i would not have bothered. Still have high hopes they will make a fix for this so please everyone e-mail them! please

Highly unlikely as it doesn't appear that Apple considers this to be a bug in need of fixing. It was, from all indications, a deliberate choice on Apple's part.

It's been this way for six years ever since the original iPhone. I doubt it will be changed any time soon.

Apple has no reason not to do this. It is not a hardware problem. When I had it jailbroken (not anymore due to work requirement), could bluetooth transfer to PC just fine with an app that 'apple doesn't support'. My best guess, it's Apple's way of punishing you for not owning an Apple computer.

It's a security feature, it keeps your phone from being infected with malware.
