How can I find an old text message on my Iphone 5 without having to scroll through days and days of text messages?

I can search for a text message, and I can even find the date that it was texted when I search for it in the text message app. But I still have to scroll through days and days of data. Is there an easier way to find the exact text, or to quickly move to the text messages that occurred on a specific day?
