Will Apple send me a new iPod or a replacement?

I've had my iPod for a couple of years now and because Apple is always updating their system my iPod is limited. I can't download any apps, I can't update my iPod to the newer softwares in order to get new apps. Also I would be on an app or safari and the page would close randomly. Even some apps I have on my iPod I can't use or update them because I can't update the software. My iPod is also incredibly slow, I can't even signout to my Hotmail anymore a d the screen is cracked. I dint understand why I should buy a new iPod if I already have one... Can someone please help?

With a cracked screen, though, your current iPod isn't likely to be worth much. You can look on eBay to see what other iPods of the same model have sold, but depending on what new iPod you choose, the 10% discount may well be more, or at least close enough to make it not worth the hassle of trying to sell your damaged iPod.

If you want to try and improve your current iPod's performance, try the usual steps: restart, reset, restore.

If you try restoring from a backup and that doesn't fix the problem, try restoring to factory settings and synching your apps. You'll lose the app data and settings, but if the problem is due to a corrupt cache or settings file, that should cure it.

Regards.
