Can not hear audio in Final Cut 7 [UPDATED]

Hi all,

I reset my preferences in FC 7 to try and solve a problem with unsynced audio. After restarting FC, I now lost ability to hear any audio in FC, either on timeline or otherwise. Can hear audio outside of FC. Any ideas on how I can trouble shoot this?

UPDATE: This is what fixed the problem for me: "Go to the View menu, and drag down to the Audio Playback setting. If you recently had, or still have a deck or camera connected to your system, there very well may not be a target for the audio.By target I mean something with a speaker. If this is the case, you can choose to have your Audio Playback NOT "follow video", then choose default, and then the Audio will come out your system speakers."
