Since I have been doing a lot of converting lately, with varying results, I would like to know what free application is the best for changing sample rate.
I tried iTunes (okay), XLD (okay), and Audacity (also okay). The end product just doesn't seem to sound like the original.
MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8), It's kind of cool.
Do a Google search. Then read the reviews on MacUpdate & download from that website if interested.

Exacly what I did. About 100 times during the past year. The "best" programs are not free at all. Audacity and XLD are rated highest of all.
Audacity still converts best, but I wanted to know if there is anything better.

Alright, I'll just keep using Audacity. Question remains forever unanswered.
There is nothing more anyone here can do more than what you have already done.
