How to put passcode lock on SD card

I have an android phone, and I want to put a password on the sd card so no one can access it if I get my phone stolen. Any ideas on how to do that or the programs to do it with?

I looked online and one guy on youtube said that if you encrypt the sd card using disk utility, the sd card will only be read on mac, nothing else.
