Stolen MacBook...music is last project to deal with

Hi all,

I'm probably asking something that has been asked many times so I apologize from the start. My MacBook was stolen a while back and fortunately I did not have a lot of information on it as far as finances and personal things are concerned. At this point I am down to dealing with my iTunes/music. I have since purchased an iPad and am not planning on replacing the MacBook for a while. Since my MacBook was the main computer for managing iTunes I am wondering if there is a way to get the music that is on my iPhone onto this ipad without using the iTunes Match? I have tried connecting the two with a sync cable and it did not work. Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks!

You can't connect an iPhone to an iPad and transfer music between them. If they are iTunes purchases then you might be able to re-download them on the iPad via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries), otherwise you will need to use a computer's iTunes to sync them.

iTunes Match would also need a computer : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4914
