Same problem here. Noticed it about an hour ago when I tried to download an app on my Iphone 5. I used my normal username and password and could not connect. I tried typing in anything for username and password and couldn't connect.

Tried to download app on windows 7 PC and got 2 error windows for network and (-50)

I logged out of Itunes on PC and now can't log back in.

I went to Apple web site and could log in fine.

I changed my password and can now log into Itunes and app store on Iphone5

Still can't connect on PC

Tried shutting off firewall - nope

Reinstalled Itunes - nope

It was working fine a few hours ago as I as able to download apps on the PC and sync to Iphone5

I just switched to Iphone from WP7.8 on Saturday and right now I am wondering if I made the right decision.

For the last few couple days, I was too getting them from time to time but I know what that means on my end, doesn't its the same thing im having on your end. Let me explain abit.

ps. im from the east coast MD.

Recently, I've relocated my iTunes Library with all my movies/music/apps/etc on my home network 2TB drive via AirPort Extreme USB FAT32.

The only time I get the (-50) error is when i get dissconnected from the internet which means the location I'm downloading my apps to can't be reached to my network drive.

Other than that, I have no idea, the only problem I'm getting is if anyone thats high rank or so, is that when im downloading all my apps with the new version (pretty much redownloading all my apps since i have 2-3 different locations of different versions in the same folder and don't want to keep clicking to say for the new version is one of the reason why im redownloading it) is that my iTunes freezes, even downloading 2 or even 1 item thats 1.6gig of GOF2 HD not responding which i have to terminate and redownload it again but still freezes once 100% to finalize the app and goto the next app download or not.

so any reason or just me that 11.0.2 windows that it freezes?

Windows 7 64bit

i5 Core 8gigs Ram

I don't remeber that iTunes would ever freeze this much of any other iTunes.

Right now I transfering my iPod Touch 5G apps to my iTunes and it still freezes but its also working at the same time on my parrents pc.

Even with my parents pc i recently gave them for xmass with Windows 8 with i5 xtraboost Core with 6gigs.

Both Toshiba, my laptop is about 2 yrs old.

Any help would be great 😎

This has been ongoing all day. I finally got an answer from iTunes support, but they won't even admit that it is a reported problem on their end.

"After looking into this matter, the issue could be temporary. If you continue to experience difficulty you may want to allow some time and try connecting again in 12 to 24 hours. I am sorry for any inconvenience."

Guess everyone needs to wait until tomorrow. 😮

See this troubleshooting. I will always start with 3 or 6.

Error 13, 14, 35 and 50 (or -50)

These errors are typically resolved by performing one or more of the steps listed below:

  1. Perform USB isolation troubleshooting, including trying a different USB port directly on the computer. See the advanced steps below for USB troubleshooting.
  2. Put a USB 2.0 hub between the device and the computer.
  3. Try a different USB 30-pin dock-connector cable.
  4. Eliminate third-party security software conflicts.
  5. There may be third-party software installed that modifies your default packet size in Windows by inserting one or more TcpWindowSize entries into your registry. Your default packet size being set incorrectly can cause this error. Contact the manufacturer of the software that installed the packet-size modification for assistance. Or, follow this article by Microsoft: How to reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) to reset the packet size back to the default for Windows.
  6. Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, bypassing any routers, hubs, or switches. You may need to restart your computer and modem to get online.
  7. Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.
