Apr 16, 2013 6:20 PM in response to tratatataby CZMOFO,This just happened to me also. Did you just install the new OSX update that came out today on your Mac? I am guessing that may be the cause.

Apr 16, 2013 9:49 PM in response to timewar85by nicholas_ce,Yeah, I was messing around with IPv6 tunneling right before I fored up iTunes... thought I screwed up my computer. Glad to hear it isn't just my computer that's not connecting.
Guess the iTunes servers are down again. Hopefully they will be up in the morning.
I just tried to sign in to my Apple account in iTunes and it worked. It seems that the servers (at least for the Northeastern USA) are up and running! Good luck. (edited at 2013-04-17 00:48 UTC-5)

Apr 16, 2013 9:48 PM in response to tratatataby VerbWar,A couple gentleman mentioned this as a solution in another discussion, and it seemed to work for some, so I tried it, and it worked for me as well. It's a very old post, but involves just a simple reset of your iTunes parental controls: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3288. I do recommend you try it.
Here's where I got this info: We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The network connection could not be established.

Apr 16, 2013 9:52 PM in response to tratatataby Alex Navarra,Had the same problem. At first I thought it was my account, but my daughter had the same exact error code appear (-50). Here's what I did: I uninstalled iTunes and re-downloaded it. That didn't help. I reset the iTunes Store cache on the iTunes Preferences, Advanced setting. Then I RIGHT CLICKED on iTunes and selected Run As Administrator and Viola! Got it working again. Hope this resolves your problem as well. Good luck.
