Can't sync iphone to iTunes or iCloud

My iPhone hasn't been backed up since November. I won't connect to iTunes, or sync to iCloud when I plug it in.

Any suggestions?

iPhone 4, iOS 6.0.1

If not recognized in iTunes, it depends on what computer OS you are using. Since you do not say, here are links to both.
