Unable to unlock.

My Ipod touch 4 gen. has a cracked screen and won't respond. Is there any other way to unlock the screen to sync with itunes?

Also; if I send my Ipod's screen to be fixed, will all my data still be there when I get it back?

Connect your iPod to your computer then launch iTunes it should sync if you have synced with that computer before. In most cases Apple will not save your data. Take a look at this link, http://support.apple.com/kb/index?page=servicefaq&geo=United_States&product=ipod
