Import mail

Hello, I am having problems in moving my mails from outlook to apple mail. I have lion running on my system and have 2011 office for mac. Previously i was running outlook 2011 but it slowed down my mac i don't know for what reason, so i started using apple mail. Now i want to transfer all my mail boxes from outlook to apple mail. I don't know weather its possible or not, or its a software issue or my OS is not supporting the softwares. I also don't know weather i have posted the thresd under the correct place or not.

Plaese help, am really in need of good solutions as soon as possible. Thank you, waiting for solutions.
