PS3 Gamepad stopped working

I cannot get my PS3 gamepads to operate. I used one yesterday without a problem. Only detail that's different today is I began using Hipporemote Lite with my iphone and mac (Since deleted and trashed). PS3 controller connects, pairs and wakes the computer. I am using Gamepad Companion and its recognizing all of the buttons of the controller when I push or toggle. It will not operate the mouse or funtion beyond waking the computer and allowing to macbook to recognize it. I cannot delete the devices, they show up again once I plug them in or press the PS3 button.
