Q: emac loads net pages very slow why ?

hi guys need your help my emac loads internet pages once it thinks it ok to do so..

what can cause this and i cant update it on apple site for update browser need hlp asap

A:

Part of it is the PowerPC processor. Once Apple adandoned it in 2006, so did web developers. A lot of web technology today that runs like lighting on an Intel mac crawls on a PowerPC Mac, including the eMac. For me, teh problem is web pages that use tird-part service, like some fo teh Google tracking serives. This intrustion really slows our G-series Macs, even though we have a very fast 50mbps cable connection.

Like me, you may notice that this lag seems more noticeable on some sites that others.

Do you know what year, CPU speed and the amount of RAM installed into your eMac?
What OS X version are you running?

TenFourFox is the most up to date browser for our PPCs, they even have G4 & G5 optimized versions...
