App Store app shut down after iOS 6.1.4 update

Hey there, I just upgraded iPhone 5 to iOS 6.1.4 but now my App Store cannot connect? I am able to use Safari and any other app to get online just fine, but the App Store just tries to connect for so long it tells me failure to connect each time. A friend's iPhone had a working App Store so local connectivity to the Taiwan store should be ok, and the only thing different seems to be the update. Please look into this and if I'm missing some sort of setting please let me know, thanks!

Try the usual steps: restart, reset, restore.

If you try restoring from a backup and that doesn't fix the problem, try restoring to factory settings and synching your apps. You'll lose your app data and settings, but if the problem is due to a corrupt cache or settings file, that should cure it.

I'm holding onto my iPhone4 even thoguh my 2 year contract has ended, mainly due to I don't like the new iPhone 5 and now it seems Apple are at it again with ios 6.1.4 giving issues to iPhone5. As this 'upgrade' is for iPhone5 only, my iPhone 4 stays at ios 6.1.3 which is fine, battery life is a shorter then before the 'update' to ios 6.1.3 but not a lot so. possibly its a few hours less use.


I'm holding onto my iPhone4 until the next iPhone release, whenever and whatever that is, also the ios 6.1.4 issues thats been reported here and other places should be fixed, or Apple being Apple post S.Jobs will just issues ios 6.1.5 with a fix but further issues..


Ah well. will have to see how things pan out with Apple.
