password on mac book changed itself
I have not changed my password and now my mac thinks I have the wrong password --- Im afraid to shut it off
MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)
Make sure the Caps Lock key is not on.

Same thing happened to me just now. Caps lock is not on. Tried variations of it. Have the password memorized but this is a software bug without any doubt. I'm so angry at Apple right now.
More likely a memory problem than a software bug. 😉
