My iBook G4 boots to the apple logo and then it changes to a circle with a slash through it, while it still has the spinning loading circle underneath, what do I do? The battery is full, I've tried turning it on holding shift, holding the apple, it just turns into the circle with a slash through it and doesn't change.

Do you still have the software install discs that came with the computer? See if you can boot up off the disc and then use disk utility to "Repair Disk".
No, I bought it second hand, and I've had it about 10 months, it only came with the power adapter.
Do you have a friend or co-worker that might have the install disc that you can borrow? Make sure it's the same system version or higher that you were running.
