iPod nano (6th generation) not appearing in iTunes

When the iPod nano (6th Generation) is connected with the USB cable to the Windows 8 Personal Computer, it is disconnected automatically. The iPod nano is not listed in the Device List of iTune. I had tried to re-install of iTune. However the problem was not resolved.
