Will my apps delete when I sync to new computer?

Hi!

So I'm unfamiliar with the older iPod touch's and my little sister asked me to put music on her iPod. I'm not sure what gen. it is but when I try to sync the music it says "Are you sure you want to remove existing music, movies, TV shows, books, and tones from this iPod and sync with this computer?"

This means is will only remove that stuff right? I don't want to do it and then have it turn out that it erases everything and then have her cry, especially because Sunday is her birthday! All it says other than that is "Remove and Sync". What does it mean EXACTLY?

It'll remove the content from the iPod touch. If you want to reduce the amount of content which gets deleted, use the Transfer Purchases function in iTunes before syncing it, and if you want to preserve the application data, perform a backup and restore.

Nothing will be deleted from the iTunes library, but it should be backed up anyway.

- It depends. If you follow these instructions you can make that computer the syncing computer and not lose anything.

- If you do not want to change syncing computer but only want to load music from the computer to the iPod use the Manual Method of syncing specified here:
