install and aht not supported

IWas trying to access the Apple hardware test, but it says that my computer isn't supported. I tried to install the firmware upgrade that is for my computer(MacBook pro mid 2010) but the install also says my system isn't supported. I know it isn't crucial that I have this, but I was just wondering what was going on!?
