Recently upgraded a 08' MacBook to Lion, hardware issues have developed.

When I upgraded my backup machine, '08 MB OS to Lion, my keyboard and trackpad have disappeared (unrecognized). I took it to the Apple Store they fixed it once, claiming that a connection that was recessed, had to be re-affixed so they did it. Then it happened again, and I took it back and they told me the only thing they could do, is send it in for a full-blown repair, that would cost $200-$300.

I have tried the system restores, and such, but nothing is working... I know downgrading my OS will not fix a hardware issue, but nevertheless, I want to downgrade my OS. The internet restore isn't available on the 08 MB, so I am currently at a loss.

Does anyone have some clues, as to how this could work? I understand that Apple doesn't support old OS, or even allow you to revert to a previous OS once a new one is installed... but is there a workaround?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.7.5)
