Pioneer tv problems

I can't connect Apple TV 3 to my pioneer TV. The Apple TV connects fine to a smaller tv but not to my main, pioneer TV. Anyone else had this problem?

I updated the firmware of my sony tv last year you could see if pioneer have updates for your model
