which MBP 15 was last that can be used with snow leopard?

I am trying to buy a used one. Most sellers unhelpfully upgrade to 10.7 or 10.8 & even when it wa supplied with 10.6,they have lost their install discs

so (a) do I need to draw the line at i5, or were some early i7 ones 10.6 native

(b) if a model WAS supplied 10.6 native but has no install discs, might I be able to erase & install from either standard Snow Leopard disc or from Super-duper bootable external HD backing up my dead early 2008 Core 2 duo

(c) if there is a workaround for (b) is there anything one can't do apart from harware test

Macbook pro 15, Mac OS X (10.6.8), 4GB RAM 2.4GHz

Early-2011 was the last - 10.6.6 or 10.6.7. Must get the original discs because there is no retail version for Snow Leopard after 10.6.3. You can also purchase replacement originals from Apple:
