Printing 2 A5 to A4 page

Printing 2 A5 to A4 page

I may be missing it somewhere. Does anybody know how I can get two A5 fliers to print on one A4 page.

I thought it was going to be simple ?

Maybe it is me being simple.........

Any help would be appreciated

G4 Dual 1.42 FW800, Mac OS X (10.4.6), 23' Cinema HD

Hi Visioneer

You need to use a combination of settings in Layout and Paper Handling on the Print dialog box. On Layout, select 2 pages per sheet. On Paper Handling Set the Destination Paper Size to be A4 and then select scale to fit paper size.

I think that does what you need.

Hi Ian, thanks for the reply.

I have tried what you have suggested, but when I preview this before I do a print, it is only showing me one A5 flyer on the page ?

I thought this was going to be easy....

I take it that your source document has two identical A5 pages in sequence? If not duplicate the single page. I just tried it and the preview shows two A5 pages rendered on a single piece of A4. I don't know what the effects of margins will be with the layout - you might find the A5 pages have shrunk slightly.

This could be where I am going wrong. When you say in sequence can you explain this please ?

Just so as I understand correctly. Does this mean another identical flyer on page 2 of the document ?

Your help has been much appreciated. I have now managed to get 2 to a page and am very happy.

Looks like I am on yet another learning curve. Don't you just love these new apps.
