I also need to retriwve my warranty paper online, as I am right now in chennai ad all my docs are in Cleveland.

Your US warranty may not apply in India. No harm checking with the Apple India.

Apple's warranty is international, so you can claim it in any country with Apple support.

Note however, that fix/replace may take few days (especialy in India, where Apple's is present via authorised repair centres), so it may not be plausible to fix it while traveling.
