Mac iCloud can't find iPad

After installing "Find My iPhone" app on my iPad I could find my Mac and iPad locations.

When I went to the Mac, iCloud said that iPad was offline and location services were disabled.

Location services on the iPad are on. On the Mac, iCloud Find My Mac prefs is checked.

Don't understand why the iPad finds both devices and the Mac can't either one.

The iPad is on 5.1.1 (is iPad 1st generation), Mac is running 10.8.3
