How to change apple id for my iPad

Are you getting help with this yet? I have struggled with the same thing and worked with pieces and when I logged in just a bit ago, I tried something and all of a sudden the long list of non-updated apparent were all of a sudden being updated with my new,CORRECT, ID and I am so happy. I will come back here tomorrow or later today and see if there are others who're needing to know what I did.

If you have any apps associated with another Apple ID or password they will have to be removed from the iPad ( all data will be lost). Reboot iPad , go to App Store in settings, create new Apple ID and password, everything should work fine from there with the new Apple ID and password

I am having the same problem. Changed internet providers and changed my Apple ID on my Mac but it won't change over on my iPad. Keeps asking for the password to my old Apple ID and refuses the password for the old ID as well! I will try your method, but it does seem draconian... Will let you know how it works for me. Thanks.
