Q: When I turn on DND on my phone it only prevents sounds when my phone is locked but when I am actually using my phone sounds come thru

I know the above but the sounds still come through when the phone is unlocked. Its ridiculous there is no way to turn sounds off completely when your phone is unlocked!

How do I do that? Isn't mute just for calls? Sorry, I am a new Iphone user...

thats great this is what I needed! So if I keep the mute on but DND off will my phone make sounds then?

thats great. DND is useless to me then bc I dont want sounds during the day whatsoever.

Why dont you read the whole thread bc obviously u dont see that 2 ppl told me to mute my phone so again my question was answered. I dont need the guide.
