FCP7 delayed and glitchy playback in OSX 10.8?

Hey all


Just upgraded to the new iMac, and consequently to OSX 10.8.3 - used migration assistant, so haven't done any clean installs or reinstalls


The question is - in FCP7, anytime I want to playback, I get the spinning wheel of death for a few seconds before it plays back. Everything else in the program seems to respond just fine - I can even click around the timeline or viewer and no problems, its only when I want to play back. Its incredibly frustrating and makes it impossible to edit.


Wondering if anyone else has experienced this and found a solution? I've read about outdated plugins and the like, but havent seen any threads on this particular issue...

Bad move. Migration Assistant does not bring in the dozens of system level files that FCS needs to work properly. Go to digitalrebellion.com, get a free copy of FCS Remover, use it and reinstall from the original DVD media.


Migration Assistant (and why you shouldn't use it on Pro Apps) has been discussed here lots of times.
