My MacBook wont start up passing the white screen

My MacBook wont start. It's stuck on the white screen at startup. What should I do?

MacBook (13-inch Late 2007), iOS 6.1.2

See this Apple note on steps to take. This assumes you have OS X 10.6 or less installed. If OS X 10.7 or later is installed, at the Disk Utility step, reboot holding the command and r keys down, into recovery mode.

Looks like there are so many problems like this. I've got the same problem. My computer never go pass the white screen even after I recovered from the internet and reinstall the mac OS.

I'm using 10.8.3 mountain lion

did anyone solve the problem? how?
