Hi, I just got an Ipod4 16Gb.

Hi, I just got an Ipod4 16Gb.

When I started to restore from my old backup, Itunes said that the IOS version (6.0) was not up to date.

So I started the update with Itunes.

During the Update there was an error message and the update stopped.

Now the Ipod shows the picture to plug in the usb pluc to the computer and connect to Itunes.

In Itunes I can not see the Ipod.

Resetting the ipod with eth two buttons does not help. The apple sign appears for 1 second and then the connection picture appears again.

I think because the update was interrupted there is no working software on the ipod any more.

How do I get my Ipod to work again?

I am very geatfull for any help

iPod touch, iOS 6, new, never used

Without knowing what the error message said, all I can recommend is:

Try:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

If you can come back with the error message that may help.
