Question about a downloaded app

Ok I have iPhone 4

(I dont use iCloud and I don't sync on my PC)

I just purchased a paid app from the Apple App Store on my phone.

I purchased iOOTP 2013 Baseball

Normally when I buy a paid app, a confirmation pop up will show with my iTune/AppStore ID and require me to enter my password in order to download it.

However, with this particular app I did NOT get the confirmation pop up.

I thought maybe it was my settings that allowed the app without conformation. Soto check, I downloaded a free app (NBC Sports Live Extra) and though free it still prompted me for approval via pass

This concerns me for several reasons

  1. Is it a Bogus app? (though I did get the actual game)
  2. Is it a malicious app and that is why it downloaded without prompting confirmation so it can infect my phone and gather data?

Did anyone else purchase this app and experience the same thing?

Doesn’t it seem odd that apps usually require me to confirm the purchase/download but this did not?

even if it is a differnt app from different company?

Like lets say I purchased an app from Compant ABC, then I get the password ID prompt and enter and all that. You saying that if 5 mins later I get another app from company XYZ, then I will not be prompted for the Password ID thing? Even if they are not related apps?

We're you signed in to the App Store prior to clicking "Buy" on 2013 Baseball App?

I dont ever have to sign into the app store on my phone, I just click the icon.

Plus as I say I still get the prompt sometimes on free apps to

Well Thanks all this is making a lot of sense now

Ok so I decided to do a little experiment when I got home.

I downloaded a free app and of course it required my password. So I did so.

Then I went ahead and in like 2 minutes later, downloaded another free app and no password was required.

I waited 30 minutes and downloaded a free app. Password was required.

So that makes sense, except......

Now I recall what happened originally, which prompted this original question/concern

I had an app already installed. But I did an in app purchase (Tank battle:1944) which had required my password. Then within 7 mins I purchased the app iOOP Baseball 2013. No password was required, which now makes some sense.

So I decided this morning to do a little experiment, recreating the scenario above

I went ahead and made another in app purchase on an app That was already on my phone from weeks ago.

Ok so password was required (which makes sense now).

BUT then within 5 minutes of that download, I went ahead and downloaded another different free app.

BUT I WAS REQUIRED to use my password.

So this last scenario sort of confuses me. Given the fact that I just gave my password 5 mins before, mean that I should NOT have had to do so again?
