Dragon naturally speaking

Dragon naturally speaking does not work however voiced recognition on iPhone/iPad works great. Is there software available for Mac that uses same algorithms?

I4, iOS 4, macbook air

I'm writing a book freehand and trying to move it to a wordprocessing program. I've tried dragon on windows and macbook but they just dont seem to work for me. When I use voice recognition on my iPhone it works great. I would like to fiind the same technology for my macbook for transcription.
