I have contacted them for other reasons and was always very helpful but not being able to use my money for IAPs is ridiculous. Having to contact via email only several times a month so I can play my games. Yesterday got a generic email from Apple about parents being upset because their kids ran up credit cards so they are going to be stricter. I am 58 yrs old, I buy itune gift cards and redeem them to pay for my IAPs, I do not need nor want apple playing mommy and controlling my spending. And I know that is what is happening since games I rarely buy IAPs transactions always go through the one game I do spend a lot more on is the one I keep getting blocked from buying. Today in middle of a tournament it happened. Lost all my rewards and felt like an idiot. I went to the other game and bought with no problem. I have couple hundred dollars in redeemed cards so it's not a credit card issue.

So I believe at some limit on a game apple blocks purchases. I am sick of sending them a message and waiting a day or two so I can spend my own money. And if this has to do with kids abusing parents credit cards then I have to wonder why the heck parents give them the info. It's great that apple is working on refunding them, but personally having 5 kids grow up gaming I had the good sense to never give them cc info for online games.

Go to expresslane.apple.com and choose 'itunes', then ' iTunes store'

Select your topic ( billing and account or something like that) and then ' can't purchase in store'

continue and send an email to iTunes store support, this is not a technical issue but an issue with your account.

The itunes store support will look into it.

Hope this helps 🙂

Not sure what the problem is I followed the link to contact apple. Called the number given. Apple called

Me back. A lovely lady named Michelle was very friendly. She informed me

That it wasn't anything I did. I had told here this was my first time downloading music onto my phone.

She said no problem she needed to contact her supervisor and within 5

Min it was solved. And because of the inconvenient she gave me 5 free song purchases!!!

Easy peasy! So thank you apple!!

I get that we have to go grovel before itunes support, but my question is...WHY???

If I have an apple product, an account, and a valid payment method set up, why is it so hard for me to spend my money on App Store purchases?

Or is the point that Apple doesn't want my money? Bc that's fine...I can go see if the android folks want it.

Hi inwBob,

Go to this link:

http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww/

Select your country, then follow the instructions for filling out an iTunes Support request. That's all we can tell you - we don't know why you need to contact iTunes Support - you just will have to if you want to get any further with this. We are just users like you, so if iTunes says to contact iTunes Support, then that's who you need to contact....

Cheers,

GB
