Q: Ipod OS upgrade

i tried to update the OS on my ipod using itunes and now its stuck in recovery mode. I have tried switching it off, rebooting but nothing works. I just get the error message iPod cannot be restored at this time becaue the Ipod software update server could not be contanted or is temporarily unavailable.

iPod touch, iOS 6.1.3

Update Server
Try:
- Powering off and then back on your router.
- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
Public DNS — Google Developers
OpenDNS IP Addresses
- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem
