how do i retrieve something i "cut" in notes? i know it's in there, b/c i didn't delete, but i can't find it.

I was editing something in notes and in my rush accidentally highlighted the entire text. When i tried to fix it, I got too close and must have accidentally hit cut. In trying to figure out what I'd done, I played around with it a while and then realized what had happened. I know it's in there somewhere, but I can't find it. I didn't hit delete (trash can) so it should be there somewhere, waiting to get out of editing jail and waiting to be pasted. HELP!!! It was such a long and intricate letter and I don't want to rewrite it:(

Cut, copy paste pretty much works the same as on a computer. Tap and hold till the magnifier appears then release to see Paste. If you cut or copied something after your mistake it is gone. You can also shake the iPad for an undo command.
