    Ray_J,

I followed the instruction to delete the container from the Lib and that stopped it for me.

2 Years later, not to late since the addressbooksourcesync was still bugging me.

    So followed your Instructions....

till the last line is not clear to me...."Otherwise, quit Contacts again and put the AddressBook folder back where it was, overwriting the newer one that will have been created in its place".

I did that but there was no message for overwriting nor did the contents of the folder change! (they all have the new creation date).

    Anyway here are the results:

    Screen Shot 2015-05-18 at 10.39.00 AM.jpg

    and from Console log:

and so far nothing more after the last message!

It might be a success, but lets wait for it.

I have to add, I did turn off the Internet accounts -contacts as well, so now I have only On-my Mac.

Is this still valid for 10.10.4?

When I re-open Contacts - it briefly shows Apple & Myself - then a second later re-populates with all contacts, thereby negating the step to File ▹ Import.

Console log shows continual activity from the process 'AddressBookSourceSync'. It's impossible to quit the process in activity monitor. I don't use iCloud for Contacts on any device.

AddressBookSourceSync process runs continually, even when Contacts App isn't used - not logged in to iCloud. Why so many enteries in the console log?
