ipod doest charge on computer
why doen't my ipod charge using the computer? It is very dead and the computer doesn't even say it is plugged in
iPod shuffle, Windows 7
Did this shuffle work with this computer previously, and it's not working now? Or is this the first time your are connecting this shuffle to this computer?
There are several possibilities...
Bad USB port - To rule out, connect something else to the same port, preferably something similar to an iPod, such as a USB flash drive.
Bad cable - To rule out, you would need to try that cable with another shuffle, or try another known to be good cable with yoru shuffle.
If you can rule out bad port and bad cable, the problem is likely to be a hardware problem on the shuffle.
NOTE: If this is a 2nd gen shuffle, make sure you are using the cable it came with, that has the mini-dock at the iPod end. A cable for 3rd and 4th gen shuffle fits, but it will not work (the connector is different).
