I am still having problems after downloading Adobe Flash Several Time They keep asking me to download

I am wondering if it can't be done for some reason
Who's "they?" Where have you been getting Flash from? Only get it from these two:
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html
Dumb question maybe, but downloading is not the same as installing. Have you installed it after downloading? You need to double-click the dmg.
I am also having the same problem. I went to both sites mentioned by WZZZ, attempting to download and install. Downloads were fine, but installation was impossible. I would get to the installer box, and the INSTALL button was grayed out. The only button that I could click on was the QUIT one.
I did uninstall previous installations.
Anymore suggestions?
Try installing from a Safe Boot. Shift down at the startup chime. A boot will take much longer than usual.
I'm willing to try this - I've never done a safe boot before. So, I should download the Flash and leave it on the desktop. Then I should turn off the computer, start up again with a safe boot, and then try to install Flash?
Yes all that, but just restart into Safe Mode. Shutting down is not necessary. Hold Shift down as soon as you hear the chime.
Okay, I did that - no luck. Same as I previously described. We have one more thing to try, but not until tomorrow. This is my husband's computer. Picking up my new iMac at the Apple store tomorrow, and will try to transfer Flash from that one to this.
Thanks for your help, WZZZ.
