I have a new HP desktop computer with Windows 8. My music transferred over just fine, but not the playlists. How do I get back my playlists?

this did not help. I don't have any playlists on my computer. They are only on my ipod and I don't know how to get them visible in Itunes, on my computer.

How did you transfer everythiong from old computer?
I agree- I am having the exact same issue- No matter hpw I try to export and import from the old to the new computers, the Playlists will not transfer over, only the music. I have over 40 playlists and 2,000+ songs. I don't want to lose all of those playlists...

You don't need to import/export anything.
Simply copy the entire /Music/iTunes folder from old computer to /Music on new computer.
On new computer, open iTunes.
Voila! Everything is the same as old computer.
I'm having the same issue but with Windows 10. Chris' comment hasn't worked. Is it because I didn't do the steps on iTunes: How to backup and restore playlists on my last PC that I can't get back my playlists on my new PC?

No, that is for syncing your iPhone to a new computer.
It's not for moving your iTunes to a new computer.
You said to do this:

I did that and it didn't work. And don't be so rude.
How/where was I "so rude"?
Or even "slightly rude"?
If it didn't work, then hold Shift and launch iTunes.
Select Choose library...
Select the /iTunes/ folder you copied to /Music/
