Jun 26, 2013 2:38 AM in response to tattoo19by DGipad123,I'm having the exact same issue with activation. The next next next solution doesn't seem to work for me though. After start up, I slide the slider to the right, and imeediatly begin hitting next. First the langauge screen. Then at the country screen I must choose a country first in order to for the next button to be available. Then at the Wifi screen I hit next immediatly. (my ipad was already conencted to my wifi). Alas, I continure to recieve the smae error message. " activation server unavailable....etc"
Any other ideas?
Thank you

Jun 27, 2013 3:10 PM in response to DGipad123by Frederico Luna,I've been having the exact same problem with my 1st generation iPad. It was working fine until last week and then it started to turn off occassionally and asking for activation. On top of that, after trying to activate for 1-2 minutes, it turns off again.
Any ideas? -
Jul 10, 2013 11:05 AM in response to Frederico Lunaby Austin672,It turns off because the device isn't allowed to run in-registered. If you've tried plugging it in, using a different router/wireless device, and have tried to restore from your computer then going through that window again. Take it to the Apple Store where they should be able to fix it there, or you could just use their wireless to setup the iPad..

Sep 18, 2013 2:06 PM in response to AdrianSaladbarby Rabib Towsif,I had been pondering for hours today and I finally got the solution. D F U mode.
The steps:1. Turn off the idevice.
2. Connect to the PC with the USB cable.
3. Press the power On button and the Home button TOGATHER for some time. It would turn on the DFU mode.
4. Press restore Idevice.
"TADAA ! "
Incase that doesnt help, u need to download a firmware, it might be ios 6 or 7, and pres SHIFT + Restore and select the file.

Aug 19, 2015 8:35 PM in response to ReVerasby Homeland82,Hi ReVeras,
This method worked for me eventually: http://www.macworld.com/article/1165828/cure_for_an_incomplete_ios_update.html
It worked maybe on the 2nd or 3rd attempt, where I could actually see the removal of software and reinstallation of software and firmware occurring which I think is what the Apple Store team would do. When the recovery finished, I was able to activate as a new iPad. I hope it helps you.
Thanks
