How do I get a key that I purchased years ago?
Apple no longer provide order history older than 18 months.
The only way to obtail your registration code is to find the original purchase Email from Apple or buy it again.
If you have installed Quicktime 7 Pro with a licence key before, it can be found on a previous installation (or from your Time Machine backup) at the following location:
Macintosh HD/Library/Preferences/com.apple.QuickTime.plist
With Quicktime Player 7.app closed, copy the preference file located as above to the same location on your new machine (it must be the Main Library, not your user Library folder - you will need to authenticate with your admin password).
Or you can open the plist file with TextEdit or TextWrangler and you will see all the details there.
