Q: Reference Article: TS1989;  My problem persists to step 10. What is the midplane assembly and how do I recognize it? Where can I get a replacement?

My iMac G5/1.9 17-Inch: Identifiers; iSight - MA063LL/A - PowerMac12,1 - A1144 - 2081, will not boot to an internal Hard Disc (HD). Does boot to a Leopard System Install DVD but then does not recognize the HD (neither does Disk Utilities) for System Install. I installed a replacement HD (500 GB Seagate with Leopard installed) which resulted only in a flashing question mark in a small circle. Any Thoughts?
