Question

15" Retina Display MacBook Pro and Bootcamp Assistant crashes.

I've spent several days with the AppleCare Support team and also with the Genius Bar team at my local Apple Store on this issue.

Has anyone else with a MacBook Pro 15" Retina Display encountered the same problem? A colleague of mine who has a 13" MacBook Pro with a 13" Retina Display was able to install Windows 7 using Bootcamp Assistant. My local Apple Store even tested installing Windows 7 on a clean-build OS X (10.8.3) 15" Retina MacBook Pro. Same problem.

Where does it crash, if it crashes at the partitioning of the drive try to remove any other external/thumb drives that may be plugged into the computer before it goes to the partitioning phase. I have seen this happen on occasion when the thumbdrive that has the windows drivers on it is plugged in and mounted.
